Free Stuff.

Have you ever heard of this iPod thingy? Guess it's some sort of new-fangled phonograph doo-dad. Dunno, really. Anywho, Rogue is giving one away to a lucky Rogue student. Go here to get one. Do it now.

You have until February 29th. Your user id for this mission, should you choose to accept it, is: rogue Your password: rccstudent

Take the survey and you're good to go. This blog will self-destruct in, uh, well eventually.

Crater Gets a Little Direction

So, in case you somehow missed it, Crater High School landed at the Rogue Table Rock campus for the inaugural 2008 Compass Day. It. Was. Rad. Let's see... There was Pizza for one thing. Um, an EMT demo, extensive campus tour courtesy of Bad Ross, financial aid info, and, of course, the centerpiece of the day: Admission Form & Compass Test. The good news is all the chicks and dudes didn't think it was that bad, AND, AND, AND they are, for all intents and purposes, full blown Rogue students. We got 'em admitted, got 'em through the test, and showed 'em what to do next. The hard part is over. Now, all they really have to do is sign up for classes. Hey Crater--thanks for coming!

Hey, drop me a note if you want Rogue to give you and your class the full shebang.

Obviously, I'm no Spielberg... uh, Speilburg... mmm, Speelbehrg. Whatever. I'm not a film maker.

Rock the Crater of Love

This is my opportunity to send a big thanks over to Ruth Ann at Crater; she let Rogue into her class to wax ecstatic over the virtues of Rogue and 13th grade. I'm telling you, just one more year of school is all you need to escape the clutches of the minimum-wage black hole--dental assistant, practical nursing, massage therapist, Digital Graphics Design, Landscape Technician, and a whole bunch more can be completed in one year. One itsy-bitsy year means not scraping a grill, not asking regular or supreme, not asking a stranger if they'd like to super-size, not changing out urinal cakes, not calling strangers at dinner time and annoying them with "offers", not tearing tickets and asking "butter flavor?" for the wierdos who actually went to Saw IV, and so on, and so on, and so on. It seems pretty simple to me. I think you Crater folks get it. I'll see you in a couple of days.

Dat Gum Guv'ment!

Good news, y'all. Carly M. and Jeffrey W. from Rogue Student Government have agreed to lend their considerable talents to and valuable time to Rogue Faction. With any luck, starting next week, you'll be introduced to them and their perspective on Rogue life on the Rogue Faction: Student Government page. So stay, tuned. My dream may become a reality, yet!

Shout Out to RRHS!

Just like to give some props to Mr. Valadez. He let Rogue spend the day in his class and hang out with some of the gang. BTW, The Burrito Saga five times in a row is now a personal record. Wow. I'm parched.

Crater--I'm coming for you on Tuesday.

With any luck, I am gonna meet with the folks in Student Government and get them on board for contributing to THE BLOG. We'll see what happens.

Career Skills Fair is Coming!

Get ready! It's that time of year again. Rogue is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Women & Men In Trades Fair. It all happens March 13th and 14th. So, bug your teacher and make you get here one of the most funnerest days in the history of the world! Check out a bit from the craziness last year:

Hidden Valley + Phoenix = Holy Moly BBall

Oh. My. Word. Did you see that basket-ball game on Tuesday? If you didn't, you missed one heck of a spanking. Hidden Valley clobbered Phoenix. I mean, like, after a full half, Phoenix only had four points on the board. It was ugly and only got uglier. Better luck next time, Pirates! Check the highlights:
